As I caught up to episode eight today I read that the continuation of the series is in much doubt. Deifying Gravity might not be great, it might not be hard science fiction but there is a uniqueness about it that I hope prevails over cancellation doom.

Episodes 11, 12 and the very interesting dystopian 13th. Reading into it I learned that the events of the 13th episode may or may not ever actually occur in the canon of the series as it continues.

Season 2 will pick up after the 12th episode and the premise of the Dollhouse will continue as usual with the exception of having a smaller budget per show.

If the 13th episode, also shot on the cheap is any indication, the show will continue to improve as it did throughout it’s first dozen hours and be worth tuning in.

I’ve been interested in the movie since it first came to light in production over a year ago but lately I’ve noticed that I have started to count the days and begun consume as much new Trek as I can find.

It’s great to be so excited about a movie again but May 8th cannot get here fast enough. Really, I need a IRL plot device to fling me into the future.

In case that you too might be digging on Star Trek I’ve put together some of the things that I found this week; including wallpaper images, apps, screen savers, official links, comics and other Trekker goodness.

Some of this is centric to the iPhone, which of course is the best Tricorder, and like Kirk, Spock and Bones I don’t go anywhere without it.

It might be completely weird to you but I’ve got a whole page of Star Trek apps going.

Up next on the Apple TV is a combo of Magnum P.I. Season 1, Dexter Season 2 and Torchwood.

And in new TV it should be a good show tonight with Stargate Atlantis and part 2 of The Lost Tribe.

I won’t dig into plot, summary and spoilers because I think you either get and watch BSG or you don’t and if you do then you probably were aware and excited enough to have watched/recorded/downloaded and savored Saturday night’s extended episode.
