I've gone and set a goal of riding; my just bought for me, birthday bike, five hundred kilometers, this month. 

And I thought up this grand plan and got started March 13th about two hours after Phil from Full Cycle dropped it off. I did 7km that night and since another 126km. It's still a long long way to the finish but I think I can get it done. I don't usually go all committed to things but this has me in it's grip. The fact that we are leaving for a week in Cuba April 2nd is also excellent motivation. Though it's not been that hard for me to keep going for it. There is great joy in the actual riding. I circled the block returning home the other night after a tough two hours for the sheer pleasure of coasting in the dark.

When I got started late last summer i posted each ride route as I completed them. I don't think I will do that this time unless requested. I had planned to create a landing page for them but conveniently Runkeeper.com just unveiled a way for me to share routes. It will show a live map and moving dot should you visit when I am actually out on the quest.

I am seriously considering experimenting with filming a first person perspective for fun next week.
